Kelvin Huang wins Hearst Journalism Award

Recent graduate Kelvin Huang became NYU’s third Top 10 winner in the prestigious Hearst Journalism awards when his story, “Fight Night,” which profiled a Muay Thai fighter, placed sixth in the sports writing competition. Huang’s win tied the school record, making it only the second time in school history that three people have been top ten finalists since 1971. His win also marked NYU’s fourth person to place in the Top 20, breaking the previous record.
