Yamiche Alcindor named White House Correspondent for PBS NewsHour

News and Documentary alumna Yamiche Alcindor has recently been named PBS NewsHour’s White House Correspondent. Beginning January 16, Alcindor will join the nightly news broadcast where she will cover President Trump and his impact on the nation.

Most recently, Alcindor worked for The New York Times as a national reporter, where she covered the campaigns of both Donald Trump and Senator Bernie Sanders, and appeared on NBC News and MSNBC as a political contributor (which she will continue to do in her new role at PBS). Previous to her job at The Times, Alcindor also held a national reporting position for USA Today, where she produced multimedia packages on national breaking news stories.
